Our first major initiative — opening doors for Jewish children through camp scholarships, educational grants, special-needs assistance, and emergency educational support.
The Jewish Children's Opportunity Fund is currently being established. Grant cycles, scholarship applications, and eligibility criteria will be announced as funding and organizational capacity permit.
Our Founding Initiative
The Jewish Children's Opportunity Fund is the first and central initiative of Jewish Children Worldwide. It exists to ensure that financial hardship, developmental challenges, or family crisis never become the reason a Jewish child misses out on education, community, or the formative experiences that shape a life.
Through four interconnected giving areas — camp scholarships, educational grants, special-needs assistance, and emergency educational support — the Fund addresses the most immediate and concrete barriers families face.
As our founding initiative, the Opportunity Fund represents the clearest expression of our mission: that every Jewish child, regardless of circumstance, has access to the opportunities they deserve.
"No Jewish child should miss camp, school, or community because their family cannot afford it."
— The founding principle of the Jewish Children's Opportunity Fund
How the Fund Works
The Opportunity Fund channels support through four focused giving areas, each addressing a distinct and critical need in the lives of Jewish children and families.
Helping Jewish children attend summer camps and experiential programs that build confidence, friendship, and a sense of belonging — regardless of a family's financial circumstances or level of observance.
Supporting access to Jewish day schools, supplementary education, tutoring resources, and learning materials for children whose families face financial barriers.
Educational advocacy, inclusion initiatives, parent support, and referrals for Jewish children with developmental disabilities and learning differences — helping families navigate resources and access community support.
Rapid-response assistance for families facing sudden hardship — helping children maintain continuity in their education and community during times of crisis.
Who It Serves
Jewish children from families facing financial hardship who cannot afford camp, tuition, or educational materials.
Children with developmental differences, learning challenges, or special needs who require additional educational advocacy and inclusion support.
Families experiencing sudden crisis — job loss, illness, or displacement — who need emergency assistance to maintain their children's educational continuity.
Children in underserved or isolated Jewish communities with limited access to Jewish educational and cultural opportunities.
